Future Milk Cheque Payment Dates

Lakeland Dairies’ electronic milk payments system credits payments to suppliers’ bank accounts automatically on the 15th day of each month.  The automated electronic payments system is the most efficient way of ensuring timely payments to milk suppliers.

Sometimes this electronic milk payment date can fall on a Saturday, a Sunday or a bank holiday. In that case, it is not until the next working day that the bank clearance system will credit the payment to the milk supplier’s bank account.

As might reasonably be expected, many people have direct debits operating on their bank accounts and these are often arranged to coincide with the milk payment date.

To ensure that your direct debit requirements are catered for, the best available advice is that you should contact your bank to schedule your direct debits to a later date in the month.

By arranging your direct debits to a later date each month, this will allow for the occasional weekend day or bank holiday which falls on the 15th.  It will ensure that the monthly milk payment has time to arrive in your account through the bank clearance system in time to meet any direct debit commitments that you may have.
